CHARLESTON , W.Va. - West Virginia fans of Yuengling beer are a determined lot. They'll travel to Virginia, Maryland or Pennsylvania to pick up a six-pack of their favorite brew.
But they won't have to do that much longer. Yuengling (pronounced YING-ling) plans to start selling beer in West Virginia in April.
Chief Operating Officer David Casinelli said Monday that the Pottsville, Pa.-based brewer waited until there was sufficient demand and an adequate statewide distribution network to enter the West Virginia market.
Casinelli says he expects the launch of Yuengling in West Virginia to be the company's best ever.
The nation's oldest brewer sells beer in 12 states and Washington, D.C.
